Nine Works on Paper – 2013

A series of 9 coloured pencil and graphite drawings on paper.

I was given a white dress by my Mother.

I asked nine women from a similar social group to pose wearing the same white dress, regardless of its fit on their bodies.

These nine drawings record their psychical and emotional response to this imposed uniform.
